Just recently, we purchased a Lavalier microphone for video recordings that we do for our YouTube channel. The purpose was to enhance the 
audio quality of presentations that we are doing when we shoot videos for other product reviews.
As we searched around for different lavalier microphones we found a variety of different brands to choose from. Mics that are manufactured from Rode, Audio-Technica & Sennheiser are great lavalier mics to look at, however, we noticed some of them can become expensive as you move up in quality.
Our goal was to purchase a microphone that offered decent quality but still met our budget so what we are saying here is, before you purchase a mic get a budget together for how much you are willing to spend first.
The next thing you should ask your self is what type of mic are you wanting? Is it a wireless or wired microphone that benefits you most and do you really need the most expensive mic to get started?
Based on our budget and situation we chose to go with the Purple Panda microphone kit that was affordable and yet has a good quality sound to go with it.

As you can see from watching the sample video there is a difference in quality of sound when you are listening to the videos.
You might have noticed that in the first sample video without the mic, I was talking louder and my voice sounded like I was talking in a room filled with Empty space. It had a echo affect when my voice came through.
In the second sample video with the mic, my voice was very clear and it didn’t have that echo effect, as if my voice was bouncing off walls or traveling through empty space.

Final thoughts on the Purple Panda Lavalier Mic
As we mentioned earlier at the beginning of this testimonial, there is a wide variety of other lavalier mics that are made by other brands. For us it was about the PRICE that caught our attention with this mic.
After using it I must say, I’m impressed with the sound quality as well. It’s a great way to get started with a microphone that doesn’t cost an arm and leg.
