What is the Atomic Wallet – A helpful illustrated guide

Atomic Wallet available cryptos

The Atomic Crypto Wallet

Are you looking for a FREE wallet to use to store a majority of your cryptos?  Over the past few years as an investor in the block chain space, I have tried various wallets for storing cryptos.  One problem I have seen with most wallets is the lack of coins that they hold.  Most of the online wallets will hold ERC tokens or just hold the main coins like BTC, LTC, ETH, Ethereum classic or Bitcoin cash.

What if you want more options with your wallet?  Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a wallet that held more coins other than just ERC20 tokens and the major coins that dominate the crypto space? Well, look no further than the Atomic Wallet because this wallet takes the top spot for online crypto wallets.

You can obtain a FREE download from the atomic wallet website.  Just install the wallet straight to your desktop or obtain the Apple App. for the Atomic Wallet, if you want two variations of it available to you at the same time.  It’s that easy to gain access to it!  If you’re are an android user the Android App. is still in development and will be released soon, so hang tight.

We have covered one option to storing cryptos by purchasing a cold storage device such as the Trezor device.  The Atomic Wallet however, is a bit different.  For starters, the wallet is a download straight to your desktop of your PC or to your phone through an APP.  The Trezor is a physical device and that is the biggest difference between the two

The Atomic Wallet is a one of my favorite online wallets and in this article, I will explain everything it has to offer and what makes it so unique compared to other online crypto wallets.

Atomic Wallet Features

The Atomic Swap Wallet feature:

The Atomic Wallet allows you to do most things including Atomic Swaps.  An Atomic Swap is a new and a revolutionary breakthrough with cryptos.  It basically allows 2 parties to swap cryptos without the facilitation of an exchange to over see the transfer or transaction.  This feature separates Atomic Wallet apart from most wallets available online.

For example, if I wanted to trade you some LTC for some ETH I could do so straight from the Atomic Wallet without having to log onto an exchange and do it from there.  This allows users to essentially be able to barter and trade currency without a Bank over seeing the transaction.

Imagine how useful that could be in a world where liquidity freezes up due to another financial crisis.  You must remember were dealing with cryptos so the backbone network of cryptos is decentralized from its core.  A financial freeze wouldn’t have any effect on Atomic Swaps between you and another party what so ever because it’s outside the centralized banking system.

 Creating a Wallet:

This is a new feature that it is extremely user friendly to set up and the simplicity of it… I have not found on any other wallet.  This makes Atomic Wallet the first of its kind to implement this feature in such a simple-to-use fashion.  Basically, if you see a crypto that Atomic Wallet does not OFFER to you, then all you must do is create a wallet for it.

The Exchange feature:

The exchange feature is cool as well.  This little handy tool allows you to swap coins for other coins directly with in the wallet without having to go to an exchange such as Binance to convert your coins to other coins.

It will save you from human error of sending crypto to the wrong addresses and or selling and buying the wrong crypto on accident.  The two partnered exchanges that make this possible are Shapeshift and Changelly.

Buying cryptos feature:

There are very few options left to buy cryptos with a credit card.  After last years rise in price of Bitcoin at the end of 2017, people were going crazy, buying massive amounts of cryptos on their credit lines.  Banks saw this as a direct threat due to the risk of their customers not being able to pay back the payments plus the interest of whatever they racked up as a balance on credit cards.

Coinbase was one of the first exchanges to BAN the purchase of cryptos with a credit card and shortly after that other exchanges and wallets followed suit.

Atomic Wallet allows you to still buy cryptos with a credit card so your still in luck, but we strongly advise against doing this unless you know what your doing with timing the markets.

The option to buy with credit card is powered by Simplex and only accepts payments with VISA and MASTERCARD. The only cryptos available at this time are BTC, BCH, LTC & ETH and there is a hefty FEE that comes with buying cryptos with a credit card as well.

History feature:

This shows your complete history of what activities have taken place within your wallet so when tax season comes around you have a record of everything you did and can validate it to the IRS.

Settings feature:

This allows you to change your password, view your private key and do things such as IMPORT which is where you can withdraw cryptos from an external wallet to Atomic with a private key.  There is a small fractional FEE that varies depending on the coin that your trying send over.

Air Drop feature:

If you’re a fan of Air Drop there is an option to Air Drop with your cryptos and if you sign up to enable this feature you receive 25 FREE AWC or Atomic Wallet Coins.

  • Enter the amount you want to send, the wallet deposit address you want to send to and your password for the Atomic Wallet.

Sending crytpos with Atomic Wallet

This will initiate the funds to be sent to another address such as a Binance Exchange address, for the exact same crypto you are holding coins of in the Atomic Wallet.

This way the transaction will be successful.  You wouldn’t want to send ETH to a LTC address on Binance, because the ETH wouldn’t be sent.

Last thoughts on the Atomic Wallet

We have used a variety of wallets over the past 2 years when it comes to crypto online wallets and the Atomic Wallet takes the #1 spot on our list of best online crypto wallets to choose from.  The features alone make this wallet one of a kind and the list of cryptos available for you to store is almost unlimited.  We also like the fact that the value of your entire holdings is presented to you in real time.

When a new coin comes out it’s difficult to find wallets that support it, but with Atomic Wallet you can just create a wallet for it.  No more having to spend endless hours online looking for the perfect wallet.  There is no more having to wait months on end or even years for that matter for someone to create a wallet or update that supports your new crypto you own.

Although it is still a very new wallet in the market it is safe and secure and coin market cap also supports it for use of storing cryptos.  Atomic wallet, from a security stand point uses a non-custodial approach so the wallet is decentralized making it one of the SAFER wallets to use online.  All your cryptos are stored in a digital safe that encrypts the cryptos into the block chain for you.

Overall, we highly recommend giving Atomic Wallet a try, it is the second best method to storing cryptos along side a cold storage device like the Trezor Wallet in our opinion.  If you want more information on cryptos in general, you can SUBSCRIBE to our website for the most up to date information we release on the crypto space.  We hope you enjoyed this review of the Atomic Wallet.
